\u201cdisproportionately impacted area illinois\u201d<\/a>\u00a0means :<\/p>
\"Disproportionately Impacted Area\" means a census tract or comparable geographic area that satisfies the following criteria as determined by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, that:\u00a0<\/code>
(1) meets at least one of the following criteria:\u00a0<\/code>
(A) the area has a poverty rate of at least 20%<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
according to the latest federal decennial census; or<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/td><\/tr>
(B) 75% or more of the children in the area<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
participate in the federal free lunch program according to reported statistics from the State Board of Education; or<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/td><\/tr>
(C) at least 20% of the households in the area<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
receive assistance under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program; or<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/td><\/tr>
(D) the area has an average unemployment rate, as<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
determined by the Illinois Department of Employment Security, that is more than 120% of the national unemployment average, as determined by the United States Department of Labor, for a period of at least 2 consecutive calendar years preceding the date of the application; and<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/td><\/tr>
(2) has high rates of arrest, conviction, and<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr>
incarceration related to the sale, possession, use, cultivation, manufacture, or transport of cannabis.<\/code><\/div><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

On September 4, 2019, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) updated their Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Section of its adult use cannabis website to drop a 60 day deadline and participation of one agency in creating the map for Disproportionately Impacted Areas.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
